Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement applies solely to the collection and use of data by Kemitron within the scope of the ordering process offered and described herein, and not for other usage of this website of Dornbracht GmbH & Co. KG.

Collection of access data
The Provider collects data whenever the online offerings are accessed; these data are referred to as 'server log files'. Access data include the name of the website accessed, the file, date and time of access, the quantity of data transmitted, report of successful call-up, the browser type and version, the user's operating system, the referrer URL (the page visited immediately prior), the IP address and the querying provider. In accordance with relevant law, the Provider makes use of log data but without assigning it to the person of the user or generating any other profile. The data are used for purposes of statistical analysis only, to facilitate operation, security and optimisation of the online offerings involved. In the event of specific indications of justified suspicion of use in violation of the law, however, the Provider reserves the right to review log data after the fact.

Collection and use of personal data
The Provider collects and uses personal data only where permitted by law, or in cases in which the user has consented to the collection of data. As a rule, when using a service the user can discern which data are stored, such as the user's name, e-mail address and any messages submitted in connection with the user's use of the order form. The Seller uses the personal data provided for the purpose of ordering merchandise (such as name, e-mail address, mailing address, payment data) to fulfil and process the contract. These data are handled confidentially, are encrypted for transmission and are not disclosed to any third parties not involved in the order, delivery and payment processes. When contacting the Provider (via contact form or e-mail) the user's particulars are stored for purposes of processing the request, and for the event that follow-up questions should arise. The Provider has undertaken organisational, contractual and technical security measures to ensure that the provisions of privacy legislation are observed and to prevent any accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised individuals.

Forwarding of data to third parties
Users data will be forwarded to third parties only if this is permissible under law, or if a user has consented to this forwarding. This is the case, for instance, if the forwarding of particulars facilitates fulfilment of contractual obligations to the user and the postal address is passed along to a forwarding company following a shop order. Or if the data are requested by relevant authorities, such as criminal prosecutorial authorities. Under no circumstances will the user's personal data be sold or forwarded to third parties for purposes of advertising or for the purpose of generating user profiles.

The Provider makes use of 'cookies' within the scope of its online offerings. Cookies are little files that are stored on the user's computer and can store information for use by providers. Temporary cookies are deleted after the browser closes; permanent cookies remain intact for a specified period of time and can make the information stored when the online offering is accessed again. Cookies are used, first, to facilitate use of the service. A cookie stores a user's shopping-cart status, for instance. The user can influence the way cookies are used. Most browsers feature an option that can restrict the storage of cookies or prohibit this altogether. The Provider undertakes to design its online offerings in such a way that the use of cookies is not necessary. We would point out, however, that use, and particularly the convenience of use, of a website, may be restricted in the absence of cookies.

Transmission of information via newsletter
e-mails containing promotional information about the Provider and its services will be transmitted only with the user's express consent. The user may discontinue receipt of the newsletter at any time. Every e-mail, for instance, features instructions on how to unsubscribe. Before the newsletter is sent, the owner of the e-mail account receives an e-mail requesting confirmation of registration to receive the newsletter. Registrations that go unconfirmed are automatically deleted within four weeks at the latest. Notifications sent within the framework of the contractual relationship with the user are not considered promotional information. This information includes the transmission of technical information, information on payments processing, queries relative to orders and comparable messages. Users may subsequently submit an e-mail to the contacts shown above requesting their removal from the message list. As part of the registration process, the Provider stores the registration and confirmation times, together with the user's IP address. The Provider is required by law to log the registrations received in order to provide proper documenation of registration.

Google Analytics
The Provider uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as 'Google'). Google Analytics uses 'cookies', text files that are stored on the user's computer, to analyze the user's use of the website. As a rule, the information generated by the cookie about the user's use of this website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Where IP anonymization on this website has been activated, Google first truncates the user's IP address within Member States of the European Union or within other State Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. IP anonymisation has been activated on this website. On behalf of the Operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate users' use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website Operator with other services associated with website and Internet use. Google will not merge with other data the IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics. Users may refuse storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser-software settings; the Provider informs users, however, that in this case they may not have full use of all features of this website. Revocation, amendments, corrections and updates
The user has the right to apply, free of charge, to receive information about the personal data the Provider has stored about him or her. Contact data for this purpose can be found in the Provider's Imprint. In addition, in the absence of retention obligations incumbent by law upon the Provider, the user has the right to correct any incorrect data, and to block and delete his or her personal data. The Provider reserves the right to amend this Privacy Statement in light of changes in the legal situation, or in the event of changes to the services provided or the data processing undertaken.

As a service provider, in accordance with §§ 7 et seqq. of the Telemedia Act (TMG), we are responsible solely for our own content on this website – and specifically for this Privacy Statement – under the general applicable legislation.
