Dornbracht invests in the Iserlohn site
Dornbracht, the fittings manufacturer, has taken a major step forward in the further development of its finishes expertise, and is investing around one million euros in the electroplating shop at its Iserlohn site. By extensively upgrading one of the production lines, the company is increasing the plant’s flexibility and capacity and enabling the addition of a new coating system.

Dark and golden finishes are extremely popular
“The upgraded production line is now much more flexible. It is designed not just for one, but for several of our surfaces. Depending on what is required, it can apply both dark and golden finishes, in matte or gloss – even to large quantities,” said Stefan Gesing, CEO of Dornbracht AG & Co. KG. “The expansion of our electroplating shop – which is an indicator of our clear commitment to the Iserlohn site – is our response to our customers’ increasingly frequent wishes for elegant and dark finishes,” he added.

New coating system for dark finishes
Dornbracht has optimised the application of dark finishes with the conversion of the electroplating shop. Because it is no longer necessary to bring in an external service provider, transport routes have also been improved. This saves resources and shortens delivery times. The new process, which followed 18 months of development work, achieves excellent corrosion properties and a high level of wear resistance – features that are typical for Dornbracht finishes.
